…a dining experience rooted in seasonality, storytelling, and a true sense of place.
Housed in a historic home in the heart of Luray, Virginia, our space is inspired by the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. You’ll see it in the textures, the tones, and the organic elements that create an atmosphere that’s both elevated and inviting.
At the helm is Executive Chef Mathew Chapman, whose culinary style blends global and American regional influences. Classically trained in Dallas, by an elite group of chefs known as much for their mentorship as their mastery, infuses his cooking with both precision and creativity.
Chef brings a wide range of techniques to the table—including a strong background in live-fire cooking, used when it enhances the flavor and feel of a dish. Menus evolve with the seasons and are often built around a central theme or point of inspiration, designed to pair seamlessly with wine, setting, and the atmosphere we create for each particular evening.
We also own and operate two working farms in Luray, Madeline Farms and Carriage Stone Farm that support our operations and welcome guests to stay with family and friends seeking a deeper connection to nature, animals, and rural life.
These farms are part of the broader hospitality vision behind PORCH+VINE—where food, environment,
and experience are intentionally woven together.
